Covered Stents in Iatrogenic Coronary Artery Fistula; a Case Report
نویسندگان
چکیده
BACKGROUND: Coronary artery fistula is an abnormal communication between a coronary artery and a cardiac chamber or major cardiac vessels, mostly congenital but some of them are acquired as a consequence of coronary artery perforation. CASE PRESENTATION: We report a case of cavity spilling coronary artery perforation during percutaneous coronary intervention 7 years ago. Because of continuing symptoms and risk of developing heart failure and pulmonary hypertension we were ought to treat this iatrogenically formed coronary artery fistula. We used stent graft implantation to treat it with acceptable results. CONCLUSION: Beside their application as a rescue for acute coronary artery perforations, stent grafts can be used with acceptable results in iatrogenically acquired coronary artery coronary artery fistula

Coronary Stent Embolisation to an Iatrogenic Arteriovenous Fistula: An Unexpected Complication
INTRODUCTION Systemic embolisation of stents represents a rare complication of coronary interventions. REPORT The case of a patient with peripheral embolisation of a coronary stent while undergoing a coronary procedure for an ischaemic event is reported. The stent lodged at a previously created iatrogenic fistula joining the profunda femoral artery and the common femoral vein. An endovascular...
متن کاملIatrogenic fistula from the aorta to the left marginal coronary vein.
We report the first documented case of iatrogenic aortocoronary fistula to the left marginal coronary vein following coronary bypass surgery. Unique clinical data, findings from catheterization, and angiographic features are presented and compared with those in the seven previously reported cases of iatrogenic aortocoronary venous fistulae after coronary bypass operations.
متن کاملTranspulmonary closing of left internal mammary artery to pulmonary artery fistula with polytetrafluoroethylene covered stent: a case report and review of literature.
Internal mammary artery (IMA) to pulmonary vasculature fistula is a rare condition that can be congenital or associated with coronary artery bypass grafting surgery (CABG), trauma, inflammation, or neoplasia. This complication may cause myocardial ischemia. CABG with an IMA conduit accounts for most iatrogenic cases, thus this problem may be encountered more in the future as the number of patie...
متن کاملArteriovenous fistula as a complication of transradial coronary angiography: a case report
UNLABELLED INTRODUCTION Iatrogenic arteriovenous fistula is a vascular condition that may result from coronary angiography. Many case reports have described arteriovenous fistula occurrence after coronary angiography using the transfemoral access route, but rarely as a complication of using the transradial approach. We report a rare case of a patient with arteriovenous fistula following tran...
متن کاملIatrogenic Aorto-Coronary Dissection Successfully Treated With IVUS Guided Unprotected Left Main Stenting: Case Report and Review of Literature
A 52-year-old male underwent cardiac catheterization for abnormal stress test. Trans-radial coronary angiography revealed a severe proximal left anterior descending artery (LAD) lesion. LAD angioplasty was performed with two drug-eluting stents. This resulted in dissection of the proximal LAD, the circumflex artery and the left main coronary artery (LMCA) extending back into the coronary sinus....
